Adjusting color

White balance (WB) ensures that white objects in images recorded by the camera
appear white. [AUTO] is suitable in most circumstances, but other values can be
selected according to the light source when [AUTO] fails to produce the desired results
or you wish to introduce a deliberate color cast into your images.

Press the Q button to display the LV super

control panel.

Use FGHI to highlight White Balance, and
then press the Q button.

Highlight an option using HI, and then press the Q button.
• One-touch white balance and custom white balance options can be viewed by
pressing the INFO button.

Light conditions
Most normal scenes (scenes containing
objects that are white or close to white)
• This mode is recommended in most
situations.
• You can choose the white balance used
under incandescent lighting (P. 148).
For shooting outdoors on a clear day, or to
capture the reds in a sunset or the colors in
a fireworks display
For shooting outdoors in the shadows on a
clear day
For shooting outdoors on a cloudy day
For shooting under a tungsten light
For shooting under a fluorescent light
For flash shooting
Situations in which you want to set white
balance for a specific subject
• Color temperature is set to a value
metered from a white object under the
lighting what will be used in the final
photograph (P. 95).
Situations in which you can identify the
appropriate color temperature
• Choose a color temperature.
